Institutional Investor reveals the best Brazil-focused research analysts.

   A stock market that was on a double-digit growth pace until the worldwide credit crunch took its toll in summer, a steady flow of initial public offerings and increasing activity among domestic investors have heightened the pressure on Brazil-focused analysts to provide thoughtful and timely ideas and advice. In its fourth annual All-Brazil Research Team, Institutional Investor identifies the best firms and analysts covering this dynamic emerging market, according to feedback from the investors themselves. The results are based on responses from representatives of more than 170 institutions, domestic and foreign, that collectively manage some $79 billion in Brazilian equities and more than $99 billion in Brazilian debt.

   Under Overall Winners the Leaders Table ranks firms by total team positions — how many analysts are on the first, second and third teams, as well as runners-up. It is accompanied by a Weighted Leaders Table, which assigns scores based on the team position achieved by individual analysts or firms. The Sector Ranking shows the individual analysts who excel in each of twelve industry sectors. The Index allows you to quickly view rankings of specific firms, analysts or sectors.
